This policy covers Fiddlebox on iPhone and iPad (App Store) and on Android (Google Play).
Fiddlebox has no accounts, no sign-in and no profiles. We do not ask you for your name, your email address or anything else about you, and we never see your payment details. Your game progress stays on your device. The one thing that leaves your phone is advertising data, handled by Google, and only in the way described below.
Your scores, your coins, which levels you have finished, and your settings are stored on your device using the phone's own standard app storage. We cannot read it, it is not uploaded anywhere, and deleting the app deletes it.
Fiddlebox shows adverts supplied by Google AdMob. To do that, Google may collect and use:
Google uses this to choose which adverts to show and to detect fraud. What Google does with it is covered by Google's own policy: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
Your choices on iPhone and iPad. After you finish your first game, the app asks whether it may use your advertising identifier for personalised adverts. If you say no, you still see adverts, but they are not personalised. You can change your mind at any time in iOS Settings under Privacy and Security, then Tracking, where you can also reset your advertising identifier.
Your choices on Android. Android has no tracking prompt. You can delete or reset your advertising ID at any time in your phone's Settings, under Privacy then Ads (on some phones, Google then Ads). Once it is deleted, adverts are no longer personalised with it.
On both. Where the law requires a consent form, such as in the United Kingdom, Switzerland and the European Economic Area, Google's consent form is shown after your first game and before any advert loads, and you can reopen it from Settings inside the app by tapping Ad choices.
The four Easy games in the iPhone and iPad version, the ones simple enough for young children, show no adverts.
From version 1.1, the iPhone and iPad version has optional in-app purchases: coin packs, a one-time Remove Ads purchase and a Starter Deal. They go through Apple's In-App Purchase system. Apple handles the payment; we never see your card details, name or Apple ID. The app only receives a receipt saying which product was bought, which it keeps on your device to unlock what you paid for. Every game is free; purchases only add coins or remove adverts. The Android version has no purchases yet. If that changes, they will go through Google Play's billing system and this policy will be updated first.
Fiddlebox is a general audience app. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Some games in it are simple enough for young children; those Easy games show no adverts, and we would encourage a parent or guardian to decide whether the app suits their child. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, contact us and we will act on it.
We do not use any separate analytics service. We do not track individual players, build profiles, or share data with anyone besides the advertising provider named above.
Depending on where you live you may have rights over data held about you, including under the Australian Privacy Act, the European General Data Protection Regulation, the UK GDPR, and California privacy law. Because we hold no data about you ourselves, most requests are best directed to Google using the link above. If you contact us we will help where we can.
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it, and the current version always lives at this address.
